Another year of growth for Standardised Staples

I am delighted to report that Standardised Staples has grown for the seventh year running. Revenue rose by 0.3% on last year, comfortably ahead of our own forecast of 0.2%. It is a result that speaks for itself, although I have chosen to speak for it as well.

This performance reflects the hard work of every colleague, the loyalty of our customers, and our disciplined approach to risk. Our Compliance department’s latest report confirms that we are 210% compliant, and I am proud to say that we have had no cyber security incidents whatsoever.

We continue to strengthen our leadership team. Our Chief Information Security Officer has left to pursue other opportunities, and we look forward to welcoming a successor shortly. We are recruiting.

Our new Corporate Intranet goes live

From Monday, colleagues will find everything they need in one place: canteen menus, the holiday request form, the latest safety notices and a searchable telephone directory. The new Corporate Intranet replaces the noticeboard outside the staff restaurant, which will be kept for sentimental reasons.

The project was delivered on time and only slightly over budget by our IT team, who ask colleagues to choose a password they will remember. Every page will be reviewed regularly.
